Information You Send Directly
The search boxes on this site transmit the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that supplies sponsored results. We do not store your search terms on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you decide to send and use them only to reply.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems keep ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to keep the site stable and see which pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How This Data Is Used
We use the information described here to operate the site, diagnose problems, measure traffic, and improve page content. We do not sell visitor lists. We do not build individual user profiles.
Links to Outside Services
American Canyon People Search links to government portals, Napa County and California records offices, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each outside service applies its own privacy rules. Data you submit there is governed by that service, not by this policy, including sponsored search results supplied by a third-party company.
Who May Process Data
Vendors that host, secure, or support the site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How Data Is Protected
The site is delivered over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Because the site does not offer user accounts, it does not hold your password or account profile.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, or opt out of certain sale or sharing of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act framework, including Civil Code ยง1798.100 et seq. Because we hold very little, most requests are limited to checking our contact mailbox and server logs and removing what we can. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by American Canyon, Napa County, or California offices are outside our control; requests to remove or correct those records must go to the custodian.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
